o Agronomy is one of 26 different National FFA Career Development Events. FFA Career Development Events are designed to teach career and life skills that will positively enhance member’s success in whatever career they seek.

o The State event for Agronomy is held at Snow College each fall. There were over 25 teams in the state event. Utah has approximately 90 FFA Chapters in all sizes of schools. In FFA the school size doesn’t matter, we all compete against one another. Many programs have two or more teachers. FFA Contests are extremely competitive. None of our contests are prepared for during class time, during the school day.

Agronomy is the science of cultivation of land, soil management, and crop production. It involves the management and relationships between soil fertility, crop pest management and cropping principles.
